The practise of yoga has turned out to be more than just a means for your body to get its heart pumping. It has become essential in understanding mindfulness and even improving our lifestyle to a large extent. In order to end your day in a calm yet restorative manner, try practising yoga.

Yoga helps you reduce stress, and isn’t that exactly what we need to ease the tension we carry in our bodies after a busy day? A survey has revealed that practising yoga to help sleep better has proven to be very effective as yoga helps in sleeping in a more peaceful manner.

Try using props that support you in your poses, such as bolsters and blankets which would help you in breathing for a longer time without hindering your balance.

Breathing is key while practising yoga as it helps in maintaining your mind and body to be relaxed. A very common calming breathing technique in yoga is the Ujjayi Breath in which you are to inhale and exhale strictly from your nostrils while you make sounds from the back of your mouth. These sounds may sound like the ocean waves which is why it’s called Ocean Breath.
